Emergency Technical Support

Emergency Technical Support is FermAxiom's rapid-response service for C6 producers facing
acute fermentation, contamination, or yield events. When a batch or campaign is at risk, the
Service Team and R&D Analytics Group move fast — diagnosing root cause and directing
corrective action to stabilize the process and contain the loss.

Response Scope

  • Rapid triage of fermentation, propagation & contamination events
  • Root-cause diagnostics across the affected unit operations
  • Remote support with on-site escalation as needed
  • Priority access to the R&D Analytics Group

What You Receive

  • Immediate corrective-action guidance
  • Incident diagnosis with data-backed findings
  • A recovery plan to stabilize the affected campaign
  • Post-incident summary and preventive recommendations

Outcomes

  • Minimized batch loss and downtime
  • Faster return to on-target performance
  • Contained contamination and yield impact
  • Documented lessons to prevent recurrence
Emergency Support – Scope & Response (DNN)
Emergency SupportETHANOL BIOPROCESS · RAPID RESPONSE

FermAxiom's rapid-response service for acute bioprocess events. When a batch or campaign is at risk, the Service Team and R&D Analytics Group move fast to diagnose root cause and direct corrective action — stabilizing the process and containing the loss. On demand, independent of any ingredient producer or product.

Fast intervention when a fermentation goes off-target.

  • Stuck or sluggish fermentation
  • Low ethanol yield or high residual sugars
  • Temperature, pH, or osmotic excursions
  • Abnormal kinetics or gas-evolution profiles

Recovery of a compromised yeast propagation or seed train.

  • Poor yeast growth or low viability
  • Inoculum or pitch-density failures
  • Contamination detected in propagation
  • Off-spec propagation medium

Rapid triage and containment of a contamination event.

  • Bacterial or wild-yeast contamination triage
  • Source identification and mapping
  • Sanitation and CIP corrective guidance
  • Antimicrobial and dosing recommendations

Diagnosis of faults ahead of and around fermentation.

  • Cook or liquefaction process upsets
  • Chemical balance and dosing faults
  • Feedstock quality shocks
  • Enzyme or nutrient dosing errors

Response to recovery and yield problems at the back end.

  • Beerwell or recovery disruptions
  • Sudden yield or efficiency drops
  • Co-product quality deviations
  • Overall process-efficiency loss

The analytical backbone behind every emergency call.

  • Rapid bench- and pilot-scale analysis
  • Root-cause identification
  • Data-backed corrective action via the R&D Analytics Group
  • Independent verification of the fix
Response WorkflowFROM TRIAGE TO PREVENTION

Every emergency engagement follows a fast, structured path — minimizing batch loss and downtime, and returning the plant to on-target performance.

1
Rapid triageAssess severity, contain the risk, and stabilize the immediate situation.
2
Root-cause diagnosticsBench- and pilot-scale analysis and data review to isolate the cause.
3
Corrective actionPrioritized, data-backed guidance to bring the process back on target.
4
Recovery & stabilizationDirect the campaign back to specification and confirm it holds.
5
Post-incident preventionIncident summary with preventive recommendations to stop recurrence.

Emergency issue resolution is also bundled within the Service Plus, Validation, and Optimization plans.
